PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Arjangarh was established on 06 August 1983 with classes up to Class VI, comprising two sections in each class. In subsequent academic sessions, the Vidyalaya was progressively upgraded by introducing the next higher class each year. This gradual expansion continued up to Class X.
The Vidyalaya was further upgraded to the Senior Secondary level with the introduction of Class XI in the academic session 2008–09, followed by Class XII in 2009–10. Since then, the Vidyalaya has been imparting education up to the Senior Secondary level (+2).
Important Milestones of Growth
A significant milestone in the development of the Vidyalaya was the establishment of its new school building. The present building is a spacious, two-storeyed structure with well-equipped classrooms and modern educational facilities. The infrastructure provides a comfortable and conducive environment for teaching and learning.
At present, the Vidyalaya offers education up to the Senior Secondary level with Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams, catering to the diverse academic interests and aspirations of its students.

The Vidyalaya provides a range of facilities to support the holistic development of students. These include well-equipped classrooms, academic facilities, and provisions for indoor and outdoor games and sports. The available sports facilities encourage students to participate in physical activities and develop teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship.
